A New Liquidity Layer for the cTrader Ecosystem
Spotware Systems, the Cyprus-based developer behind the widely used cTrader trading platform, has moved into the institutional liquidity space through a newly established entity called cFinancial. The company's website for the new unit is already live and accepting inbound inquiries, and a 13-page white paper detailing the offering is available for download — all ahead of a formal market announcement.
According to the company's own materials, cFinancial will deliver aggregated pricing drawn from multiple upstream sources, smart order routing, and ongoing execution-quality monitoring. The coverage spans a broad set of asset classes, including foreign exchange, precious metals, commodities, equity indices, individual stocks, cryptocurrencies, and synthetic instruments. All of this is funnelled through a single FIX 4.4 connection, and the site explicitly notes that brokers are free to retain whichever liquidity bridge they already operate.
Regulatory Structure and Operational Details
The operating entity is registered as cFinancial Ltd in Providence, Mahé, Seychelles, and holds a securities dealer licence issued by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles under registration number SD169. The site clarifies that the cFinancial, cTrader, and cBridge names are all Spotware trademarks used under licence or affiliation arrangements.
Day-to-day inquiries route directly back to Spotware's in-house teams. The white paper lists sales@spotware.com and cs@spotware.com as the primary contact addresses. Spotware's careers page — a snapshot of which was captured by the Internet Archive on 7 August — already enumerates three product lines: cTrader Store, cBridge, and "cFinancial, an institutional liquidity provider." The document metadata embedded in the white paper shows a creation date of 3 June, suggesting the work was well underway before the site went public.
Positioning Within Spotware's Growing Broker Stack
The liquidity desk is the latest addition to what is now a three-part offering that touches most of a broker's technology and operations layer. Spotware introduced cBridge in March of this year, differentiating it with a fixed-fee infrastructure model rather than per-volume charges, and has steadily onboarded additional liquidity providers since. Chief Executive Ilia Iarovitcyn explained the pricing philosophy to Finance Magnates, stating that levying extra fees on brokers simply for bridge access "does not feel fair."
The expansion into flow follows two other integrations completed within roughly three weeks. On 20 August, Spotware bundled Intivion's customer-relationship-management suite alongside cTrader and cBridge. Then, on 4 September, the company linked cBridge to regtech provider Finmatek to automate reporting obligations under MiFID II, EMIR, and SFTR. In total, Spotware reports that more than 300 brokers and proprietary trading firms rely on its products in some form.
The move mirrors a pattern already established elsewhere in the industry. Match-Trade Technologies has paired its Match-Trader platform with its own Match-Prime Liquidity desk since December 2020, distributing through both its proprietary bridge and competitors' infrastructure. B2Broker took a similar path, spinning out B2Prime as a prime-of-prime operation licensed in Cyprus, Mauritius, and Seychelles.
Scope, Eligibility, and What Comes Next
cFinancial's own website draws a clear boundary around who the service is intended for: it is targeted at broker and institutional counterparties and is not available to retail investors. The offering is also explicitly excluded for counterparties located in the United States.
Finance Magnates has reached out to Spotware with questions regarding the new product and the timing of its formal launch. The company has not yet responded, and the article will be updated once answers are received.
